Job description

Stratos Wealth Partners, recently named one of the Top Workplaces in Cleveland, is looking to add a skilled, detail oriented Financial Data Quality Specialist to our growing team.

This position is responsible for ensuring that the organization’s data quality standards are achieved through a series of regular data maintenance activities and enacting an overall data quality strategy. The Data Quality Specialist will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of our data. They will be responsible for identifying and correcting data errors, implementing data quality controls, and developing and maintaining data quality standards.

The Data Quality Team will be responsible for receiving, reconciling, and managing the data received by the firm from all parties. The team is also responsible for delivering data to help in firmwide projects, generating dashboards/metrics for teams within the organization to use, and managing the training of advisors and staff on using our data software solutions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of the company’s data architecture, governance framework, and processes.

  • Responsible for assessing, managing, and maintaining data quality across the organization.

  • Serve as subject matter expert on the Orion system for the home office and advisors in the field.

  • Conduct training for internal employees and Investment Advisors on the Orion platform.

  • Gain a complete knowledge of Stratos Reporting capabilities as it pertains to other departments.

  • Provide assistance and guidance for projects affecting cost basis, tax reporting, performance, composites, Orion, trading, billing, and regulatory reporting.

  • Enhancing data quality process automation, governance, and reporting.

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure data integrity.

  • Document data quality processes and procedures.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.

  • 3+ years’ experience in Financial Services.

  • Extensive knowledge of Orion, Microsoft Excel, and Outlook.

  • Must be highly organized with strong attention to detail.

  • Skilled at working in a fast-paced environment.

  • Willingness to pursue financial certification/ FINRA licenses.
