Position Overview:
As an Associate Financial Planner, you will play a crucial role in supporting our financial advisors by conducting research, preparing financial plans, and assisting with client communications. You will work closely with advisors to ensure that our clients receive high-quality, comprehensive financial planning services. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about the financial services industry and is looking to grow their career in a collaborative environment. Over time, the successful candidate can evolve into a Financial Advisor responsible for relationship management of existing clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with financial advisors to develop and prepare comprehensive financial plans tailored to client needs.
- Conduct in-depth research on investment options, insurance products, and financial strategies.
- Assist in the analysis of client financial data, including income, assets, liabilities, and expenses.
- Prepare and present financial reports, projections, and recommendations to clients.
- Maintain and update client records and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Assist with client meetings by preparing agendas, taking notes, and following up on action items.
- Stay up to date on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the firm.
- Provide exceptional customer service and build strong relationships with clients and team members.
Job requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in a financial services or advisory role, preferably as a Paraplanner or Financial Analyst.
- Knowledge of financial planning concepts, investment strategies, and retirement planning.
- Proficient in financial planning software and Microsoft Office Suite (Emoney, Orion, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CFP, CFA, EA) or commitment to obtaining such credentials is a plus.
